I agree.

Johnny you're a good guy and know a load of stuff, but honestly mate, the attitude towards brad and this "I know but not going to tell you lot" ... it's not called for, and quite frankly, makes you look like a bit of a dick.

If someone said to you with no explanation "you're doing it wrong" i think you'd be sarky too. It's a normal reaction

Not so musg made, as finished.
This was started about 6 months ago, but hasnt had any attention since September. I've put in about 40 hours since Sunday, plus my friend's input. This is the most difficult one we've tackled. The remaining section was to the right of the leopard.

Feeling chuffed.

I have the same puzzel but much less finished - just the boarder pieces done..

Finished the rotten tree. At 12" high much of the middle was a soft sponge like wood, and theres a deep giant hole where a root has rooted completely.

Still some clearup to do another day and to move the ash logs, the rest of the poplar and leylandii.

I climbed and I felled the leylandii pole in the rain, very close to hitting fence as I got the height a bit optimistic

It was too cold to tidy up the play pen.
So I made food.

Dried yeast, but made into a froth with warm milk and sugar.
It went mad.

But when the dough was knocked back and some melted butter was mixed in it did make good pizza bases.

Cake.

Today I made three feet out of delrin to make it easier to move the Christmas tree 5mm one way and then back again.

The boss is very particular on where the tree is positioned and these were for stopping me scraping the floor even more shunting it about.

Took five minutes and had the added bonus of providing justification as to why everyone needs a lathe.
In fairness, she doesn't mind but it's nice to use it for something she didn't even know she needed but was very pleased with.

Last little car I’m making for the foreseeable; one for myself!

I had made a little replica of a Model T back in 2011 when I was 17 (in image 5 below), as a first independent foray into metalworking. It was fine at the time, but was never truly content with it. I’ve always hankered to make a more comprehensive version, but the time has never been ‘right’.

As a bit of background, the Model T below was subjected to a 6 weeks recommissioning from a sound but rough state to how it presents today; certainly not the black it would’ve left the factory in! We’re surprised it has lasted as well as it has given its been out in all conditions. To expedite things, rather than paint, the body was covered with Everflex vinyl (effectively making it fabric bodied) hence the Matt finish. To be different, the seats were a contrasting green Harris Tweed, with the wings painted to match the hood. I have replicated these finishes on the little car, however the green I used on the wings is certainly not the right shade; I’ll get them rectified when the big cars wings are eventually repainted.

Originally I was going to make the ‘Wee T’s’ body from fibireglass, however it ended up being too big.. I eventually made it from sheet steel, along with the wings, bonnet, and radiator cowling. The separate chassis is made from lightweight tubing, and the front axle shaped and welded into a section to match that of the main car. Propulsion is provided by a mobility scooter transaxle and motor controller, and will punt me around, albeit rather slowly. Wheels were pram wheels sourced from eBay. I did have intentions to keep the rim and weld up some ‘spokes’ from tubing, but the wires will be sufficient..
