Considerable progress in the welding of 1.4 mm aluminium sheet, using Dinosaur TIG....
Ran a couple of quite nice beads, just chasing the errors.
Thinking about a bespoke reserve fuel tank for the Beeza.....
That'll be £2000 saved, at a rough guess...

good job the blade wasn't sharp , we'd been cutting fireline and sound block boards so the blade was hammered . It took a nano second and there was plenty of claret , No hospital so I'm not in @doubleboost s club yet

I dealt with a small first world problem today.
My shed (some of you have seen it!) takes a bit of locking/unlocking and I'm tired of getting wet whilst doing so.
So, I made a little canopy
3 x 1m lengths of 3 ply polycarbonate, 4m of 25 x 25 aluminium angle, and half a roll of that sticky backed metal foil tape and the jobs a good 'un!
Now I need it to rain (doubt I'll have to wait long!) and blow a bit to see how well it does what I want it to.

Well, I finished it today, but started it a while back. (Apologies - no metal or welding, but the fretboard, mother of pearl inlays, and bridge were made on my CNC.)

Today (OK, yesterday)
(Rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard & European spruce soundboard. The body finish is French polished shellac, the neck is Tru OIl. Made to the 'OM' plans from here.)
