Installed my latest staircase today,I rarely spray paint,this was my best spraying I can remember,good finish,cover,colour and rock hard in a few hours,watch this space for balustrading,architect hasn’t decided what style yet

20mm styrofoam and 3mm ply backing, lightweight camper kitchen worktop, just got to build the rest

then a rigid theoretically self adhesive carbon fiber bandage, which has to be wrapped onto the aluminium patch .

All the ones I have seen need the bandage soaked in water before use.

I wasn't suggesting that you were wrong, it is just my experience that they needed to be wet before they would conform. Clearly there are different brands and I have never seen one with 'Carbon fibre".

I remember using similar 40 odd years ago. You ended up with hands covered in sticky goo. Rather like when using Denso tape.

I supposed I was, because it could be.
Without instructions I thought something was wrong but it didn't .
Just the tape's not good anymore.

This one was bone dry .
Anyway I'll replace the entire exhaust eventually.
Both because I don't feel the engine since there's no vibrations from it and now even no sound .
And because both me and my mother don't like it so quiet.

A new muffler and mid pipe .
I'll cut open the muffler and make an internal bypass with cable controlled mechanical valve .

Denso! I still have bad dreams about that stuff. Used it on GPO (BT) to protect lead cables if jointing chambers required demolishing & rebuilding. Yuk. It was bad enough putting it on, removing later was horrible. It was always referred to as Gas Tape.

My car passed successfully MOT this morning
Went to buy tools in a nearby town this evening
After a good 20km at constant 3000 RPM in fifth gear , while driving on a steep slope uphill I've heard a can crackling sound and a big pop from the exhaust .
My car is sounding normal again.
The tape served its purpose this morning, and gave up this evening .
I'm pretty upset because of the pain it was to put in place but at least I've had not go beneath the car to remove it .
I'm pretty confident the cat is dead cause I'm burning gasoline in the tail pipe but I'm not concerned about at least for the next 2 years ,when it will have MOT again

The top couple of layers dry out but it tends to stay good underneath and is still messy to remove years later.

ah but you would have had to repair it several times already if it wasnt clartered in that mess!

I decided to have a play with my board design to accommodate various footprints for difficult to find components. Some are on the reverse side being SMD. 10 boards on order in case I get any more enquiries.
Due to my eyesight etc I have also gone up to 1206 rather than 0603 components, to give me a fighting chance! Nothing I can do about the microscopic Digipot though (IC4).
