Bodging together some bits to make another trailer for collecting firewood that's recently come down.
Flatbed & sides off the 6x6 while she's still in the workshop. Couple of bits of box as spacers and a scrap axle / trailer that came under a utility box we converted to a camper.

Yesterday, the last of two cylinder head moulds.
Today , hopefully, two cylinder head castings from the revised pattern .....
Plus some basic thinking through of some expansion chamber dimensions later on, maybe....

Asked directly to onevan if a replacement aluminum housing is available as spare parts.
I'm still shocked they used permanent thread locker on M3 screws.
Enough to successfully cut a thread on the drilled half screw Left on the housing.

I had the home-made wood lathe out on the bench so before putting it away I took the opportunity to make my other half a pen (from a commercial pen kit and some Wenge):
I was only going to make one of these so it definitely didn't seem worth buying the bushings for the kit. Thankfully I have a metalworking lathe, so it was a fairly quick job to make my own (seen at the front of the photo).
The pen kit seems quite a nice design (for a cat lover).
When Carolyn's half-brother visited us around Christmas time a few years ago, he (apparently) liked the Christmas decorations I'd made so I thought I'd make one for him this year. I'm fairly sure he doesn't frequent this forum so it should be safe to share the photo!
It was also a good opportunity to practise TIG welding again before I start the heat treatment oven. It also encouraged me to buy some new batteries for my welding helmet as the ones it had were completely dead.

Dragging the Barn/stores/workshop into the modern world, data cabling and other stuff has been on the cards for years but never got around to it so on with the bobbly hat and braved the cold!
House on the left, tool store compressor room on the right and workshop/stores at the back
Luckily ive been putting ducting in every time weve had the ground up so starting in the middle 4 data cables, an RG59, a multicore for compressor remote stop start and a lump of air line
Tugged into the workshop/barn nicely situated behind some racks!
Just got to pull the data cables back to the house once ive retrieved the drawcord that the puppies ate!
Pulled to the house, tidied up and left some loops on the data cables for laters
Final connections when positions are sorted and I can have proper internet in the workshop

Already fixed.
Logged right now to write a review.
It doesn't have 140Nm for sure.
But it does 60Nm for sure maybe little more.
The PCB cuts out before to reach its maximum potential.
Or maybe the yofidra battery protection triggered.
Anyways it stops and the indicator light starts blinking.
Tested chucking a 10mm insert on the drill and a putting a 10mm socket on the torque wrench set at 50Nm it does click ,at 60Nm it delivered a punch but triggered the protection before to click.
I'd need a digital torque adapter to have a true and scientific valuable data.
Anyways I've driven an 8x200mm screws halfway through hardwood but then it bent and I wasn't able to move it even using the breaker bar.
RPM went very low but still have some torque.
Not its intended use anyways.
The additional torque is for spinning bigger cutting tools more than to drive huge screws, clutch maxed out.

Two rather nice BSA D.7 Bantam squish cylinder head castings.....
Not many other things caught fire during todays operations, which provided a great deal of useful information in many ways.....
The finning style is distinctly 1950's Maico, but there's no harm in that...
