I'd try your local independent suppliers. ECP are no longer cheap like they used to be and their QC gets more and more questionable.Appears my rear pads now need doing, I didnt get the squeal expected from a wear indicator, just straight to a rumble of metal on metal, so that will be todays job.
What pads are recommended for general road use that I can pick up from a shop like ECP?
If you wanted to try an online supplier, have a look at Parts in Motion. They have more brand options than ECP (none of which are their own brand to promote), usually cheaper on ebay if there's a discount code running and most stuff I've had has been delivered next day. I rolled the dice on Febi pads and discs on SWMBO's CRV and they've been perfectly fine. Fit and finish was really good.
The ferodo premier line that halfords used to sell were a brilliant road compound, loads of bite from clap cold. Not sure you can get them anymore though, which is probably unhelpful
