Today I made the front bit of an Avro Shackleton fit to the middle part of an Avro Shackleton. Not very Migweldy by still pretty good fun. Now sutting on all 3 gear legs and lookin' Mean and Moody.

That'll be the one from Brunty then, we do need pics!!

Managed to get the neck back on the boat trailer today, all aligned ok and started to weld it up. Over sixty inches of weld in each triangulation.

Its the ESAB lah 315 mig, making hard work of an easy job because I couldn't be bothered to swap over to 1mm wire.

Not today but a couple of weeks ago.

Daughter number 2 always wanted a puppy but isn't allowed pets in the apartment she bought, (even if she had the time to look after one) so I made her one.

16mm coupler, a few bits of scrap, some 2.5 twin and earth and about 30min.
She liked it, even with the wonky eye.

I know, it's not finished nicely, but it doesn't need to be. I just need a slab to lay some 3x3 battens on to support the shed extension. They'll be bedded on cement fillets to get a level, as is the rest of the shed. It'll never be seen again

Had this Record No.4 for about seven years, repaired long before I acquired it but I've only just got round to dressing the weld back.


Took about ten minutes and now I'm not constantly unpacking jammed shavings.

Finished the cutnshut and shortening of the boat trailer today, fits the urban artic a treat and its a lot more manoeuvrable. Just the landing legs to fit now and then on to boards, airpipes, wires, brakes and paint.
