Made some extra storage by converting a run of shelving into a corner unit giving me storage up to the door that had become a dumping ground, i just need to put some timber on it and on the end upright and my floor should be clearer.

Just on a cautionary note, I believe a lot of your unistrut is upside down. The toes of the channel should be downwards on the long horizontal members (the cantilever parts from the wall are correct) as then they are in tension. With them in compression, they can buckle under load.

Got fairing out again for a bit more ABS repair, there was a crack I hadnt seen and wanted to put more meat in a few areas. It will look much better when its sanded smooth!
As you can see I didnt have enough clamps, had some G clamps but far too heavy.

After had a go with knifing putty to fill some tiny air bubbles. Sods law, now that I am ready to primer and paint, the silver birch trees are shedding their millions of seeds

Got the chargers mounted too. The new style charger can, (it's taken them long enough), finally be wall mounted.

Picked up theses 2 Army Multi Fuel No 12 stoves.

One worked and had no issues. The other didn't.



This was the best it got.

So, were to start.
Drain the fuel tank and clean. First issue was found, water.
Then the pump was striped and clean. Odd thing, both stoves are the same, but the pump washer are different. One is a leather cup, the other is 2 "O" rings. All are interchangeable.

The multi tool allows you to strip the stove down. So the burner was separated from the tank, more water and gunk. As I had gone this far, the jet was removed. This was found to be blocked. So it was cleaned.
Assembled and tested.
Yes it worked, but the control valve was leaking causing a few seconds of panic.
I had to put the coffee down.

The valve was removed and cleaned, it has no seals, nor are there seals listed in the parts list. It relies on threads and the taper to seal it.
It is simple and it works.



Warming up, I hoped this image would show another issue, the seam on the filler side of the tank decided to leak. Out with tank, wash, clean and pipe solder was used to seal it.



Both in use, well I admit, this is a posed picture, just for the forum.

Theses 3 sickles were acquired, all sharp. But the blades were rusty and the finish of the handles was in a terrible state. A few minutes of using one showed per long use would lead to blisters.



Before, the finish is cracking and will dig into bare flesh. If it stays it will fester very quickly.



No power tools, no sand paper.

All done by scrapers, the wood on all 3 was very good beech, this helps to get a good finish.



Blades were de rusted using vinegar and flour mix.
Leave it and it will give you a nice black oxide finish.
In that image the handles are waxed, the blades are warming up so a wax/oil mix can be applied.

I finished some DIY furniture this morning
A very old chest found in a barn, some news paper was glued inside dating from the 60s....

Stripped it, flipped on it's side, cut the cover in half, added invisible hinges and some DIY hairpin legs with hammered black paint same for the handles .
Now wife is deciding if i leave it as is or if i light coat it with varnish and try to make it a bit less dark.

If you are going to put a finish on that, my recommendation would be beeswax polish.

This wonderful mower has been mentioned before, but this is the end for me on it.



The final parts were not suitable for the Mini MIS to do. Lathe work and welding.
The rear rollers were long gone as was all the metal.



Oak, old and gnarly.
But it was only bit of almost suitable wood I had.



Turned down, the defects are sealed with hot hard wax.
This seal the defects and holds it all together, then using a burnishing tool it can polish the wood up as well.





The finished rollers and the new brackets.




Fitted.
