Did you drop it from a great height?
How did get rid of stuff that size, Bob? Cut them up yourselves or get amugsomeone to pay you for them?
A recent project finished as an anniversary present for my wonderful wife. Myself and my colleague Jack welded up the legs which are 3MM wall 80mm x 40mm section, TIG welded with the Parweld XTM 211di. The top is made from olive wood and metallic blue resin to give a "river style" look and was made by a close friend of mine. Turned out very well I must say!

Ignore the scrap pile
Certainly not cheap, I think with materials and labour time (if my friend charged me his usual rate) it would've come out to over £750Looks great! A friend of mine did a resin table recently, not a quick job or cheap either.
The cutting edge was sharp. Blood letting sharp.

I use 3.2's all the time...
I bought some 3.2mm tungstens and comsumables when I bought my first TIG welder a few years ago, failing to appreciate that I'd never be doing anything that would come close to needing a tungsten that meaty! ...@RichardM

Not sure about the first part of that sentence but the second part......But you're a professional welder. I'm just an 'all the gear, nae idea' hobbyist that just pretends...
So cool! Envious...The boys were out today
