Everyone seems to be doing theses resin tables these days, but that is cooler than most!I've been pouring this river table for my brother's birthday during tea breaks for the last week, its taken about a gallon of resin, nearly there. I poured a bit, let it go off but not fully set, add a bit of scenery then pour a bit more. As long as it doesn't go completely hard you don't have to abrade between layers.
Here's some car tyre, old bins, rusty oil drums and old railway carriage wheels, same as the last one I did. On the far bank I've put some river weed. This is bits of moss from the field dried in a dehydrator then stuck into one of the layers whilst still tacky.

However on this one I have become a bit more macabre, there's the odd corpse floating around in the weeds

And these poor window cleaners, not sure how they managed to end up drowned, if it was an accident I hope they weren't in any pane

Here it is nearly full, I have filled it now, just have to wait until it goes really hard before filling the knots and sanding it all flat. Probably do that next week as I have a brewery day tomorrow then kitchen DIY at the weekend.

Cheers

Next Lorch 220ac up on running.
Same fault as last one.
Unfortunately Lorch managed to damage Mapro because of breaking several clips and ripped of a cap. They quoted the guy who send me this to replace 4 PCB.
SMPS driver shorted out on Mapro.
Easy fix.
Takes more time for inboxing as for fixing.
But as a good review on that Lorch offers him free disposal.
This machine was send to headquarter of Lorch.
Don’t know who was responsible for getting this done but it is not that way Lorch should do.
PFC stage, charge and primary h-bridge are all fine.
but they quoted to be broken.
And they send it fully dismantled.
Naa.
Not that best commercial.
May @matt1978 is interested in this?

Good luck with the job, is that the one you mentioned here a month or so ago?Now after dinner I've received a message from a local machinist asking for my curriculum.
He already knows I've never worked with machine tools ,so let's try

Mod number 2,welded a thrust plate between the inside of the channel, and the original plate bolting to the cross member.Quick mod this am,as I forgot to make a cut out for the top of the jaw to latch into.View attachment 276681
Received another messageSo
This morning on the jobsite ,laid electrical conduits.
Once back home , I've assembled back my Jonsered .
Last time I've used it.
Engine bolts threads stripped while cutting , and the engine detached from the chainsaw , damaging the new oil pump
So today I've extracted the broken bolts , drilled and tapped
Used new bolts with spring lock washers and locking nuts , and in name of safety semi permanent locktite .
Reassembled ,carb tuning .
Now after dinner I've received a message from a local machinist asking for my curriculum.
He already knows I've never worked with machine tools ,so let's try
