I'm 6'5". Slipped a disc once draw filing at the bench at work. Leant back to see the line I was filing to and bang! I was on the floor still holding the file in both hands. Back often twinges during bench work. Must measure the height.

One of the fitters at Rover was sitting on his bench leaning over to work on something in the vice and suffered a collapsed lung!

I'm 6'6" (1.98 m). My workbenches are 1 metre high (ish: the floor's not level and the bench is, so it varies a bit). I've also got a portable workbench that raises the height to about 1.2 metres for when I'm doing detailed stuff but don't want to sit on a stool.

Too low workbenches (and desks, and sinks, and and and) for too many years made a mess of my lower back.

I used to be 6' but have shrunk!
Both my boys are taller than me.

I made a thing, nothing special just a piece of square bar with an M10 hole in the middle and 2 plain holes for bolts to pass through



It's a puller for the steering wheel on my Grand Cherokee as my usual methods completely failed to get the steering wheel off

However, the only thing it succeeded in pulling was the threads out of 1 of the holes!

Tapped the failed thread out to M12 and this time it held long enough to get the wheel off

I welded the wing nuts to the threaded bar. This is a welding forum, right?
