The instruction manual was not well written and was not in a logical order.

The timing belt assembly was very poor. The designe allows the belt to slip or not rotate.

Would i build one again, no.

Was it an interesting build, yes.
Aimed at children, not really.

Would it not work if the left hand side of the belt went around the tensioner and the right hand side straight?

That is another mistake in the manual.

It looks better, but now it is to tight for the small elec motor to turn it over,

The manual states to use Veg oil for the moving parts, so yes.

New Ford wet belt lash up?

It looks better, but now it is to tight for the small elec motor to turn it over,

You've bent the valves, better set fire to it...

Firepit is warm. I have been tidying my logs. Had this old angle frame, tied fence mesh to it. Its a bit small could have done with being longer or taller.
