Did this on my old Roland Cx-24.
They can be picked up quite cheaply I think. Just a big roller/plotter type thing with a sharp knife on the end. Does incredibly detailed cutouts.
And because it's on a roller, you can make decals as long as you like up to the length of your vinyl!

27.5 hours later my 7yo who is apparently In bed decides to go into the office and pull the power lead out of the printer.
Despite restarting fine it's z axis had got a little confused. Game over
5 minutes earlier id just halved the print speed to help with the frame bridging.

I've had similar problems with lithophanes. Resolution required is insane for a reasonable photograph plus you have to tweak the contrast to perfection then wait hours before you get to see if it's going to work at all then several more hours fingers crossed to see if it can get to the end.

Cartoon images seem to fare better.
Couple of little areas that failed were the stuff hanging from the trees.
Also despite the thick raft the LHS was lifting again ever so slightly.
May print diagonally next time.
Also need to make sure the walls start from the inside rather than the outside.
Lost interest in starting it off again this weekend. Was a bit demoralising having the power pulled at the final hour

Use an oil based brown paint on sprinkle with a bit of coarse & fine sawdust and give it a few more coats , present it when the last coat of paint is three days dry.
It helps to retain the smell if you , put it in a green velvet lined box " For the man who has everything " .

Poodlepoo or Weiße Scheiße (weisse scheisse) I seem to recall was a byproduct of ground up chicken bones (calcium) in dog food.
Not particularly good for the dog and (again a dim/distant memory) really not good at all for cows. Bovine spongiform encepalopathy or mad cow disease. I think that too was a byproduct of feeding the wrong thing to animals.

This is a quick knock up of a piece of test equipment which scans thousands of possible control codes for my module development.
Top row is current code, bottom row the exclude list scan. Software is still in progress but it sort of works at the moment.
The idea was to tidy up the rat's nest of components that were giving me intermittents.

Been looking at the Bambu P1S, thinking it's probably time to upgrade from my Mingda Magician X, which is an ok printer, but needs a fair bit of faffing now and then and is obviously very slow by comparison. Prices are good in the Bambu anniversary sale currently.
I've been reading a lot about Bambu, the Cloud and these printers being 'hijacked' because of it, and as hard as I've looked, I cannot find out if you can simply shove an SD card in the thing and run a print directly from that ...anyone know?

With my Bambu Mini I insert the micro SD card (it came with) into the printer and can print remotely. It will not print unless it recognises a card with models on it or a card it can connect to remotely. I was tempted by the prices of a full size Bambu but I already have a Prusa Mk3.5 and a Caribou, so "need" triumphed over "want".
