Very smart mate. Hope your kids get as much out of it as mine do there bikes. Best decision I made ignoring the wife and buying it ...

Went the electric route for mine. Can run them in the sports field in the village and nobodies fussed. Got a trials park for a back garden these days and the neighbours have no idea as there pretty much silent.
. Keeping my eyes out for a ty50 for a resto ready for when eldest outgrows his current bike. Not looking forward to adding clutch and gears into the mix but sure he will get it in the end.

Good idea on the footplates. My first quad didn't have them and my foot slipped through and got caught up. Was sore for weeks

Nearly there now, well I supposed you could be forgiven for thinking it's finished. I'm going to make some foot plates to fill the gap between the mudguards.

Not sure if you know of this link ? But here is a link to a bit more info on what else to do to get more from the LT50 engine.After removing the restrictors (inlet/exhaust) the carb may need altering for the de restricted engine,all the info here. hth
