for wear plates, you know that old bucket edge that just got cut off, or the bits of new edge that got trimmed off. that'll do can be a bit thick but sounds like it needs it. or someone needs loader driveing lessons
the brace bars i mentioned from the top of the bucket to the edge only stay in for welding, only hard tack them in and cut them out after, just to push the middel down so it dosent bow up from the weld pulling. tbh it's proably not an issue when welding with 3.2 sticks but when your in a hurry with a big mig there is a risk,
a bow downwards the machene will push flat as it scrapes and it will often do a better job of scrapeing but a bow up and well thats a pain and a right pig to do anything about
