Be nice to see photo's of it on twin pulse, good weld on those sort of machines puts my Tig welding very much to shame. Splatterless and no cold start or finish, an almost perfect bead.
Tig used to be the only choice for stainless work for the food industry, as the welds had to be polished smooth, something that took to long to polish on a MIG weld. Those Twinpulse machines have killed that, its now just as quick to polish a MIG weld from a twin pulse machine as it is a TIG, difference being MIG is a quicker welding process

Its quite old now, it has been superceeded by another brochure. Its only a brochure advertising our products, so you didnt miss much

Probably mainly because they brand which is over 50 yrs old, has only been available in the UK for just under 6 yrs............the models that you are looking at too, are almost brand new and have only been on sale for about 15 mths so not likely to be many people ready to sell them 2nd hand just yet.

The Forum shop are about the best value 'new' machines that you will see. They include reg, torch and earth lead.

To be honest though, I dont think it would be worthwhile as the units (although a lot of money for home/diy use are quite low value in the scheme of things) by the time you have paid carriage and import duty. But you never know.............if you arn't in a rush, keep an eye out on Ebay, more chance on German Ebay.

Truthfully..........I would say not that likely. Only for the reason that the particular units you are looking at dont usually get demonstrated. People tend to just buy them outright as they are at the smaller end of the scale. Its only really the larger more expensive machines that require demonstration.

But as I said before its not impossible that one might come up but I would say that there is virtually no chance of it being in the next few months.

Just had a quick look, they ones i could see are all the older moder M Series (the ones before the current M-Pro series).

If you need 230v single phase, you can only look at the..........

M 2020 (140 amp) 230v only
M 2040 (170 amp) 230v 400v dual
M 2060 (210 amp) 230v 400v dual

They are very easy to use because the machine is semi synergic and will set the voltage and wirespeed for you based on the material thickness selected

you get 5 yrs on the transformer.

What do you mean by worst case? by definition, Transformer based machines are very reliable as they are fairly low tech.

s410man, I can translate German eBay ads for you ( and ask the Sellers for transportation costs if you like ). There's an M2060 in Berlin, ending in 6 hours, currently at 501 Euro. The Seller says it weighs about 100 KG, and has quoted 145 Euro to send it about 400 Km to a potential buyer inside Germany.

thanks for the offer eddie but by the time i buy a sh machine which may not work-return woulkd be difficult and costly-pay £100s postage and taxes etc then have no warranty i dont think its work it tbh and they dont have the features of the new welders

like if i spend £500 and £100 postage thats £600 and a new one is only £850 with warranty and backup/easy returns and less chance of something going wrong with a new machine deal-eg with weldequip im fairly confident i wont get ripped off-im not sure on the paypal refund system for diffferent countries

by worst case scenario i mean all the new electrical devices which help you weld better if they broke whats it going to cost to repair worst case

from my observations on these machines the transformer is onl 1 part of a complex machine and i would like it to work for 10 years+ at least with no major problems

so if somthing bad happened after 4 years when it was ouut of warranty whats the biggest thing to go wrong

and how mu8ch would a 6 year old transformer be to repair/replace

reliability is probably the biggest thing for me as i can just about afford the wleder but dont want to be paying another £500 in a few years to repair ir

is there any extended warranty available
