It works, sounds like the gear box needs some(Lots) of grease.
The wire cup still has life left in it.

I must be confused about the dp for the c13 as I've had both the 10 and the 13. I boought the c10 from Blue Diamond at Shildon. I brought it back on a I ton Datsun pickup. It was quite worrying as the C10 was not far off 2 tons.

A datsun pick. Ain't seen one of them for many years. But it made that ol gal grunt.

Acquired two things today:

1. A load of balls

2. A workbench

Okay, the second one isn't a new acquisition, but I haven't been able to see it for all the clutter for the last couple of weeks. The workshop was overdue a major tidy-up.

I found this very small flypress sitting in a friends back garden, he was about to skip it, having given away my No.6 deep (takes up way too much space) I thought this would be useful, does anyone know if there is a top tool holder that steps up from what I assume to be 5/8" to 3/4" to suite the punches I have,

it was £20 and like new (not the can of fosters) but thought was a bit of a bargin but only untill i got there and seen the size its about 2/3 of normal size

As a consolation I thought I had won this auction on Ebay - a lovely huge Denbigh drill - only to be told by the seller it had gone and he couldn't cancel the listing

Needs some TLC.

A few days ago I got a tin of old style Drill bits.
I said I had the brace for them.



Here it is.
I was trying the bits out to see if they are sharp and would cut true.
They just needed a quick tickle.





All done.

It does not work.

SIF stands for Suffolk Iron Foundry.

The same place who made Suffolk cylinder lawn mowers.

That’s fascinating. They’ve retained a lot of the features mine has but changed a few to make it fully belt driven, and a suds pump/sump too.

I’m getting a bit impatient with my rebuild, I seriously want this thing running and auto drilling holes!

Today I acquired this spring, which fired across the drive a few weeks ago never to be seen again... until today! Armed with a welding magnet on a piece of string, I dragged all the corners and edges and eventually (along with a lot of iron filings, screws and bits of wire) I found it. It’s pretty crucial for the Denbigh drill above, used in the cutoff for the auto feed.
