Why not open it and clean it up rather than leaving a possibility contaminated item in your hall.?

....it's already gone down the garage. To be honest post is minimal risk...but as I'm working anyway I may as well leave it 3 days down the garage than mess about with it.

I am not opening anything that looks like a bill or HMRC for 3 months as i don't want to take any risks, I am sure this will be fine and they can all wait

i turned up a new toy on ebay today.... something ive been after for a LOOOONG time, and for £50 i really couldn't say no....

holy wheel balancer batman!
its 12v so i COULD keep it on the lorry for track day based punctures, but its not really necessary and it'll be far more useful in the garage.
plus he also has a tyre changing machine i looked at whilst i was there, but try as i might, i couldn't get it to fit in the astra
so i've borrowed this

and will be picking it up tomorrow. for a extra £100 its a steal.
but (there's always a but)
the balancer is showing error 12, which is either a flat battery, a loose belt, or a bad computer board (lets hope option 1 or 2) and the changer works 100% but is missing a couple of air fittings and the wheel clamp is a bit temperamental, the lead screw is probably all gummed up.
still, its something to do for the next week or so....
and for the covoid-19 fearing among us.. gloves and masks where used, and 2m rule was stuck to religiously.

I had one in my work vehicle and some thief walked bye grabbed it and ran for his life, I bet he was thinking he was in the money lol.

I posted on a photography forum
They give me advice on values, sharpness, depth composition and blah blah.
No one noticed the subject matter and picked up on it.

500w bad-boy soldering iron. Somebody on here linked to it on ebay, and I won it, £7.99! Mug for scale. The approx 3lb copper tip gets quite hot, just from leaving it in the sun Total beast.

A mate of mine ran a very successful auto electrical business. He tried every type of soldering iron there is.
He went full circle and used copper irons like that. He had a little gas ring to keep it heated. Brilliant!

Local steel stockholders only doing deliveries and I didn't need much.
Popped into a local scrap yard run by travelling people. Made sure I was wearing a mask!
Got some nice bits of angle and plate.
These 2 bits left in my van until I can get help to unload. A tad heavy.
200kg of steel for £30 can't fault it. Much better value than our local steel merchants
