Got an ebay parcel today with a couple of military cutlery sets and a folding washbowl. Won the job lot, but only wanted the German set for canoe camping because of its well thought out design.

Do you have a link for those? I could do with some for the van.Got an ebay parcel today with a couple of military cutlery sets and a folding washbowl. Won the job lot, but only wanted the German set for canoe camping because of its well thought out design.

Fusion is freeView attachment 228247 Been looking at new CADCAM software for awhile. Wasn’t overly impressed with Fusion. Don’t like the whole cloud based scenario and having to pay every year. So, seeing Mastercam and I go along way back, I bought the new version. Mastercam2020,but will upgrade to 2021 in June. A lot has changed since MastercamV9 the last new version I had 15 years ago.....A good time to buy software as it’s a buyers market

Not for professional work.Fusion is free
Up to 100k turnover is free. Not for professional work.
Not if you use it for commercial use it isn’t. And it’s cloud based and heavily reliant on a good internet connection. A lot of my work is fairly sensitive stuff that doesn’t really have a place on a cloud. For general 2d stuff it’s not bad but for 3D stuff and simultaneous 4 axis milling,it’s not in the same league as Mastercam. It’s very limited with tool path options.Fusion is free
Don't let John Saunders (NYC CNC) hear you say that. For general 2d stuff it’s not bad but for 3D stuff and simultaneous 4 axis milling,it’s not in the same league as Mastercam
There are a few vendors on ebay, search " German Army Cutlery ". I notice some adds say...………. Army "Style" Cutlery, so look carefully at the pictures, because not all are originals as some are Chinese copies.
There is one add that when you scroll down to the description says, you will get a set from the group in the pictures shown; to me that is a tipoff, that you will probably get something you will not be satisfied with.
Hope this helps.
When I was in the mob, virtually everything was stamped with the old War Department vertical arrow and a NATO part number which was something like: 4829-99-357-6268 (the 99 designated the country of origin IIRC). To be honest, though, I can't recall whether mess tins and cutlery were stamped but probably this was the case. If so, then that could be a good way to identifying the real thing.
I will be informing the PO about this.
I have their van details.
I have a similar set, over the years I have seen odd bits of pullers at Autojumbles and car boots, so I started buying them I now hav e full set similar to yours but no back boardI asked my mate who is clearing out his workshop, retiring, if he had a puller I could borrow, he said he had just skipped a load, so I went skip diving, pulled out a couple of sets of coffin straps as well, essential travel, I also picked up a large die holder from a forum members front wall, another essential trip,
who would skip those pullers? lockdown must be getting to him!
the puller bottom right is the one I needed, I have a Chinese version but it is rubbish!
