Popped down to Lidl late last night and a kind man gave me early access to the Thursday sale items:

Also got the pen in the top-right hand corner thrown in with a less interesting acquisition. I probably should have looked at it more closely before handing it to my other half...

I was lured towards this cheap sticker in lidl`s, got this dinky little grinder, looks like a hany bit of kit. Also picked up a tray of hubert lee clips :thumbup:

That looks identical to my snap on grinder.

Be very careful if you're using dremel type grinding stones in it, they'll explode if run at that grinders full speed, I learned that the fun way, even tried a few different ones just to check. :laughing:

I have this snap on carbide set, these things can take serious punishment.

Awhile back my Wife picked me up some steel toed boots which were reduced at our local. I grumbled at first, but they turned out to be one of the most comfortable pair of boots I've ever had. Can't fault Lidl, for the price they sell a fair product. Saw a lot of new tools at our local today, but didn't see the hose clamps; will have to go back for a second look.

They are quite decent clamps, not Bessey quality but I've not managed to bend or break one yet. :thumbup:

I've melted the plastic pads on a few so remove them before welding!

Do yourself a favour & chuck the hose clips in the bin now. That's where they will end up the first time you try to use one! They are the worst ones I've ever tried, they wring before they get slightly tight! :mad:

I've had a few of these from eBay, and agree that for the money they are pretty tough clamps :thumbup:

Yesterday I bought this - a friend picked it up, with instructions to see how it turned. One thing it didn't specify in the add was the size. Well it's big apparently, might need to make a davit to get it on my Fritz, maybe add the 13 inch rotating table to the shelf.
Anyone now of a suitably large tailstock (won't know what size till it arrives home).

A Rolac ramp for whatever van I end up rolling about in Or rather most of a rolac ramp, I'll need to brew up a way of mounting it so its removable or it will be a proper pain.
