You need to go to spec saversThe only thing I don’t like about the inserts are they don’t have anything stamped or etched on them.

They are hard to see, you just need to get the light right on them.I’ll take a picture of mine later
Nice catch
Nice score Mr. DI can now be called Tommy Two spot welders!
I acquired this little lot today. More importantly, the bonus for me is the extra arms. The spot welder will be a back up just in case.

It can join this one I bought last month.

I don’t think either have seen a lot of work.
Kept the poor guys at Engweld in Derby at work as late as possible so I could pick this up so I can delete what little steel is left of my car's wheel arch. It's an Abracs Pipeline brush.
Never used a twisted wire brush before but I figured that if the stone chip paint and rust under there could eat a poly disc in about 5 minutes, I need to be approaching it far more aggressively.

I also acquired some posh doughnuts but I didn't have time to take a photo before they vanished somewhere.
Those are monster wire wheels.
You'll need a face shield AND goggles.
I have a pic somewhere of a wire from one , stuck into a face shield - scary if it ended up through your eyelid!
Leather apron/jacket is also a good idea - the wires will go through overalls.
Got to admit, the abracs don't shed as much as the cheaper ones.

That reminds me Ive been trying to buy a face shield but now shops only have those flimsy covid sneeze masks.
If anyone knows where I can get a proper grinding/impact rated polycarbonate face shield?

Trust me you don't.
Really trust me on this.
Don't even lift the ppe until it has stopped completely.
I bought one of these after seeing it recommended on here, I've been using it for a year now and it's the best one I've ever owned. That reminds me Ive been trying to buy a face shield but now shops only have those flimsy covid sneeze masks.

I'm beginning to think that taping the grinder to a stick and maintaining a minimum safe distance would be a sensible idea.
I had to order mine online, I can't remember now who it was I ordered fromBeen trying to get one locally, not a hope in hell
