I'm impressed. A thin strip of carpet tile, (this stuff is a pain in the jacksy to cut even with a sharp utility knife), cut into sections:

cheak the blade years ago i used to so install networking cables and panels and used to cut meny of them tiles they leave a black reside on the blade that made it unuseable after not meny cuts

I did indeed, got a decent collection of Milwaukee stuff now, most of it has come from Power Tool Mate. They're usually the best prices, excellent service too. Often their Ebay store is a better price than their website though. This was £164 with a spare blade, way cheaper than anyone else.
My theory is Brexit might increase the cost of things like consumer electronics so that's how I justified it

CAN transiever, induction board and a loose capacitor.

Most carpet tiles were coated with a bitumen backing, petrol will wash it off.

I've just whipped the blade off & cleaned that rubbery residue off.Having had a quick play with this, I honestly think this could be one of those tools akin to a multi-tool. You never really see the point of them until the first time you either use one, or have need of one.

No, I get that but what are the fans for? is this a kit? What sort of power does it have?
I am planning on building a machine incorporating an induction coil so I am interested in seeing other people's application of them.

Anyhow, after my recent sale of the Moore and Wright combination set I indicated to @mtt.tr that I had replaced it with something else, well, yes I did, another Moore and Wright set. This is an unused 1960's combination set, complete with calibration certificate. Not sure a haven't dropped a clanger here because I am not sure this can be taken from it's box and actually used in anger:

I don't know, you know. Looks absolutely marvelous, still has the ribbon around the square. I will just leave this on the bench in it's opened box, then get the Mitutoyo out if I need a combi square.
Problem solved.
I think I have too many squares.

This one is "rated" 2.5kw, 48v at 50A, theres several model of the same design but with different numbers of parallel mosfets and capacitors, it doesnt help that one fell off, but Ive stuck it back on, it will be a few days befoe I test it.
