If you know anyone willing to sell one of them badges I'd be willing to buy. I've been after one for my dad's badge collection on his hat for years. Been let down on ebay several times as well at local markets

I can understand why this might get lynched wog is not a pc term.

Found in a skip 3phase will sort speed control & I have the makings of a good welding rotater, there was the rest of the tire changer attached it runs ok, even rev switch works

It looks like your new skip-sourced acquisition should work well for building a nice hefty welding rotator.

I'm developing a similar idea (on a much smaller scale) about adapting a skip-rescued 12V ATV winch (which a neighbour found at the local trash transfer station and gave to me) as the motive force for a small welding rotator. I have a couple of cheap Asian-made variable-output 12VDC power supplies, and one of them just volunteered to power the winch. I did a temporary wire-up to see if it would work, and rotate it does! Reversible, too, of course. I put a stress load on the winch to make sure that the power supply wasn't over-taxed (like we are ). No circuit fuses blown and no hot components that I could detect, so you might see a photo or two in upcoming posts. I think I will replace the pot that controls the output with a multi-turn pot, or one with a narrower resistance range, to make the speed adjustment less sensitive, but that's a minor thing. I have a couple of pipe-welding mini-projects in mind to try it out.

It's amazing how much stuff people give me that they find in the "good" pile at the dump/transfer station, once the word has gotten out that I like that kind of stuff. It's kind of like a having a team of underpaid (read "zero") spies working for me. Sometimes, however, they leave things on my doorstep (no infants in baskets so far), that I really can't use, and I end up taking those items to a different trash transfer station to avoid offending them if they see the items back in the pile again.

I've had gout for about 15 years, I use Colchicine and Ibuprofen to try and ease the pain. It appears in my hands, feet, knees, wrists, never the same place after an attack. Tried to get Alopurinol but doc said no as it conflicts with heart medication. I don't eat cheese or much dairy products, hardly drink anymore.

As wells the Colchicine I take Naproxen tablets, Great combination for quick"ish" recovery, Doctors are supposed to only Prescribe 12 Colchicine tablets at a time as they will poison you if you take too many, I have seen some American crime programs where Wives get rid of husbands using these very tablets,

Yes. We're busy hiding our horrible histories. That was we can make the same mistakes again instead of allowing future generations to learn from them.

My son found this in a stream,it was a fast flowing one straight off the hill,‘‘tis aluminium,so I’m going to mount it to an outside wall.it reminds him of a swordfish ha ha.
