The problem doing it that way is the platform is restricting access ! So much easier and quicker on a two poster . Time is moneyYes.
I often help my friend who owns a garage, with 3 x 4 post ramps.
Car on ramp, rear wheel lockers on (wedge shape wood.
Jack up the front, under the jacking points, wheels off, hub nuts off. Then what is required to allow the shafts to be removed.
Gear box jack under the box, box out, cutch out.
Reverse.
The most common issue people have is not putting the jacking beam in the right place, or not using the jack legs to assist in getting the height out.
And this arrived this morning which should put paid to dodgy auto wiring connections:
Also acquired a nice book at the dive shop near Sunderland this morning about one of the most famous wrecks in the world:

Got round to taking 4 cylinders in for inspection that I intended to take in last year only to discover that 8 of them are now out of test. 8 cylinders for visual and hydrostatic testing at £40 each = .
Then I'd need a heli-pad to go with it...and a copter to go with the heli-pad. Could get expensive.Put a wind sock on it.
Hmmm. Maybe I'll just leave it in my neighbour's boat as an anonymous gift.spinning rod mounted to a boat
