Flipped over, the handle has the same configuration because the handle is straight; so I can't see how it would make any difference.

If they are like normal stilsons then they only grip one direction so if you just flipped it would be rotating the opposite way I think.

I've had my coffee break stuck under a sink on more than one occasion, so I do know about access.

What I was meaning is if you simply rotated the tool without swapping the jaw over it would either be suitable for tightening or slackening due to the ways Stilsons work.
If you had poor access then swapping the jaws over would I think work.

Looking at the profile of the teeth, it'd work same either way round.

Following on from the posting of a kind soul on here, my very first facebook maketplace purchase, it worked out well and is in good working order. I am going to try to construct some sort of swinging cantilever for it over the lathe for when I am making those impossibly small parts:

I've needed a medium stilson about 20 times in the last week, so I looked on ebay, and just paid £14 for this weird version. Made in England, I wonder what for? ..it's a bit quirky as the jaws are not angled like usual.

They're just another style of pipe wrench. If you can access the front of a pipe, but not the sides, or not enough gap to fit the jaw between two pipes side by side. Called an offset pipe wrench i believe. Still available, Ridgid make them.

Looks to be in beautiful condition.

Parking Ticket refund.

I got the ticket, when visiting a local hospital, in a company car. Due to a phone call from a engineer I missed the 15 minute time to get a ticket.
My fault.

Went to the hospital early doors this morning, got a ticket and was set to pay the £75.

Nice lady and her supervisor listened to my reasons, saw the phone log, so I paid for 4 hours, (but used less than two.) and that I was not going to fight this.

The supervisor went away, came back and told me the fine was revoked and I owed no money. Plus she looked up the amount I had been to that hospital in the last 9 months.

Happy me.

So I spent the money I did not spend on Burnt caramel shortbread treats and milk.
