The one in my Custom was great. In fact the whole was van great, i loved it. I wasn't in the least bit sad to leave that job, but i was sad to see my van go.

An 1.8, 205 diesel van I had, with 1.6 GTi Alloys fitted, surprised me with its handling capabilities.

The 205 is my all time favourite hatch back wizzer, had the diesel van version from new and like all the XUD engined cars the thing went on forever.

Some mouldy earplugs (or something like that):
I bought a pair of these (the plain sort) about 10 years ago, but they don't fit my ears as well as they used to so and I'd gradually moved back to using disposable ones. I decided it was time for a new set and also treated myself to the speaker sort to go with my new helmet - every time I've fitted speakers (for an intercom for talking to the other half) into a helmet I've had to modify the internals of the helmet as they design helmets assuming a much shorter head than mine and hence the holes for speakers are in the wrong place for my ears. This time I decided to just not bother fitting the speakers and use the monitor earplugs instead.
The monitor plugs will also be useful when doing boring jobs like sanding as I can have some music on while doing it - I'm sure they'll be more comfortable than trying to fit earphones under ear defenders.

A surgical headlamp. Fairly outdated technology these days but a very nice bit of kit, I probably will get some use out of it. There's a mercury halide bulb in the white part and a fibre optic bundle up to a focusable lens on the headgear, it projects a really bright, clean spot of light, far better than any modern headlamp I've used (But I am comparing several hundred pounds of surgical equipment to an Amazon special LED so hardly a fair comparison 
)

They are really nice vans, but we found that overall the VW is better in terms of reliability.

I sold a SP 180mm f/2.8 , the one with the anniversary plate on the side, lens hood and brown leather case on ebay when I got my EOS5 and 80-200 f/2.8 L. The SP 180 was as good as the 80-200L and obviously smaller and lighter but not a zoom and no AF not that the 80-200 or the EOS5 had very fast AF.
I still have the 80-200 L and sort of wish I had kept the SP 180 but I have or had too much camera gear that was not getting used, hopefully someone else is still enjoying using it.
My brother keeps taking apart old scrap LCD screens. They have nice sheets of clear acrylic or perspex in them. Etched on one side though but very useful. Often 6mm thick.

My Custom did 30,000 hard miles without a single issue in the year i had it. Much more spacious than the Transporter. A few of our Customs had issues, but so did the T5s and T6s.
If i were to buy one myself in that size range it'd be a Custom. But my own van's a Sprinter dropside.
