That brings back a bad memory.
Years ago my Wife and I use to go down for an evening walk around our local lake, and afterwards feed popcorn to the ducks by where we parked. There was one goose that would barge in and scatter the ducks from time to time, so one day I dropped a bag over his head while the ducks had their feed. When I took the bag off the goose seemed to be honking some very bad words at me.
The next time we went down to the lake the goose snuck up behind me and bit my a***. The Wife laughed for days every time she looked at me.

M9 is a Mercedes sprinter engine block thread from memory. I had one and I’m sure it was m9.
Other things must use it as well though.

Just as I'm hoping to book mine in for an MOT next Monday, it threw up a MAF sensor warning - this in turn puts the ESP light on which is a fail. I've cleaned it and am hoping it will be OK.

Mine is either the o2 sensor, the a/f o2 sensor, or both. They’re $500 each plus tax from Subaru which is a bit rich for me so I’m going to stick some used ones on. Not ideal to be honest but it might drag me out of the proverbial for a spell.

First of course they have to be upended for a bit to drain the residue. I'm think I might have to make a contraption up for holding multiple cans, itself taking up space...
Then there's the residue, pretty soon I reckon I'll have a fair bit of mixed grade, waste oil...wob time?

I want to agree with you but I can't... most modern engine and gearbox oils are so slippery that they reduce the cutting action and you'll wear out the cutting edges faster.
Proper cutting fluid is well worth buying.
I noticed the difference between cutting oil and basic tractor oil, even. It sounds daft, but you can feel the cutter bite in better with every squirt.

I used to drain waste veg oil containers when I did bio. If you find the space then one draining into another for an hour will get all but a tiny amount out. Or rig up something with some guttering.
I use any odd clean motor oil for general oiling and rust prevention.
