We had a long training session yesterday with a huge firm of vets specialising in export health certificates.
To ship even a pallet of cake to the EU needs health certs for the eggs - milk and butter used in the cake, £250 for each one
The vets have to inspect the lorry to make sure the vehicle is safe to transport the goods.
This has been in place for British companies exporting to the EU from day 1.
This does NOT apply to goods coming here. Now delayed until July 2022 and I am not holding my breath for it to come in then either.
Why aren't we applying the rules? Empty shelves look bad that's why.
