Road trip today, to acquire a Colchester adjustable height work table. Just a couple of minor issues. The cranking mechanism is a little stiff, and needs a new extension cord for the 240v receptacle. I cleaned a couple of spots with some solvent, and the paint underneath on the base looks good, but I'll probably paint the whole thing anyway; not my favourite green though.

None that I know of. You can get a riderscan mirror which is designed to cover blind spots but that's about it.

With all the technological dodads available today, I'm surprised some bike's don't have rear view cameras and a monitor screen on them; or do they ?

Some have radar for adaptive cruise control and I have seen mention of blind spot sensors. Not seen any rear view cameras as standard but you do get aftermarket dashcam type cameras that connect front and rear cameras and you also 360 degree cameras although they record but possibly they also display on your smart phone.

It’s rule 88 that allows it and rule 211
That provides for other road users to expect it in slow moving or stationary traffic.

Some folk think it’s illegal and other misguided folk cut you off by pulling across when you’re trying to filter. Which is disappointing.

You won't find it because our moving traffic regulations are mostly based on specifying prohibited behaviour. They don't list a load of things you CAN do, they list a load of things you shouldn't or mustn't.

The onus would be on YOU to find in the regulations where filtering is prohibited.

Thank you for taking the time to find and post those highway code rules . As far as I can see they don't actually say in a traffic instrument that you are allowed /can filter between lanes​

Rule 88​

Manoeuvring. You should be aware of what is behind and to the sides before manoeuvring. Look behind you; use mirrors if they are fitted. When in traffic queues look out for pedestrians crossing between vehicles and vehicles emerging from junctions or changing lanes. Position yourself so that drivers in front can see you in their mirrors. Additionally, when filtering in slow-moving traffic, take care and keep your speed low.
It is often difficult to see motorcyclists and cyclists, especially when they are coming up from behind, coming out of junctions, at roundabouts, overtaking you or filtering through traffic. Always look out for them before you emerge from a junction; they could be approaching faster than you think. When turning right across a line of slow-moving or stationary traffic, look out for cyclists or motorcyclists on the inside of the traffic you are crossing. Be especially careful when turning, and when changing direction or lane. Be sure to check mirrors and blind spots carefully.

No wonder so many fatal accidents involve motor cyclists & almost 33 % of accidents involve them " filtering " between streams /lanes traffic .

As far as I can see there is nothing that says they can filter in the left side of a lane .

Re The comment about police they have certain dispensations when in traffic & on duty especially if on blues & two's . Otherwise they have to obey the law like everybody else . . That's why the chief constable of Wales ( the one who topped himself a few years back ) got done for speeding in his official police vehicle .

Not one iota, I like keeping toastie warm and being sat in total comfort when driving , instead of sitting like the hunchback of Notre Dame , freezing my fingers , feet & balls off on a machine in inclement weather , on one that falls over with sickening regularity .
