I looked at that type as well, same £30 cost and nearly got both as the chuck type is attractive over 2 spanners operation on the collet, but the longer reach did it for me and pleased the collet is robust.
But b*gger it I may have to get the chuck one as well - this place is a nightmare for turning around tool reducing decisions
@eddie49 the speed controller you linked is very interesting, is there a rule of thumb on the sort of equipment I can control from it?
Yes the appliance has to have a motor with brushes. It won't work on induction motors. Thankfully, nearly all power tools are brushed motors certainly your die grinder is because I have the same one.
