I've been looking for a stepper motor for the autotuner in an IC-775DSP for years - in between also forgetting about it for years -
any idea in which direction I could look there????

No idea, offhand; but ask in the forums at Eham.net or qrz.com and somebody will know if anyone has parts still knocking around.
For example, if the optical encoder behind the VFO knob of the 735 had gone tits-up, I could have found one, not from Icom.

Chance in a million. I've got a brand new unused stepper motor ,Berger LAHR VRDM 566/50 LNA If it's of any use .
