Today I acquired...........

A Milwaunkee Fixtec grinder nut.

I got mine a few days ago and have been using them on the 4.5" grinders. They work fine for the wee grinders but they can lock on tight and I have needed to turn them off with something in the bit you pull upright to get a wee bit extra leverage.
Much prefer the Bosch style but they are not much use for the smaller grinders so...

I have a little terminal screwdriver (3mm? ish) that I use to get that little bit of leverage.
Still easier than the cr***Py pin spanners that seem to come with the grinders I buy. (Workzone 125mm variable speed usually. Think I've got 4 of them. )

They are a bigger diameter than standard nut, loose a bit of reach on the cutting discs, but I think it will do nicely. Plastic handle is suspicious, I dont know if it will last.

The ones on mine are plastic covered steel, I think.

The handle is bendy thin lightweight plastic on mine. I suspect it is bendy but very durable.

Edit - actually not bendy at all Appears to work well.

Discovered the two packets of aldi flap discs, 125mm, will not fit in the guard of my 115mm I thought I had used some, clearly not.
Although flappers dont need the guard problem solved, but I do prefer using a guard. The guard on cordless is a bit rubbish, I should make up a new one.

They must have cheapened the Milwaukee Quick Release Nuts.
All of mine (bought last year) have plated steel handles.

Are you meaning the flip up bit? Mine are steel I think.

I got one with my m18 grinder. Stupid flip up handle lasted a day!

Best nuts I saw / used were the dewalt ones. Have a hex in for an allen key rather than a pin spanner.

I hate the DeWalt ones Just replaced the one on the Flexvolt grinder with the Milwaukee.

Well, I identified the copper part, the rivet - as you wrote.
The question was about the pulling bit, that can't be copper, it wouldn't pull thru.

How did I get that wrong File test confirms it is steel. Seems solid enough looking at it again... Earlier it looked/felt plasticy.

Good tip - try it at the pulling parts of your otherwise copper-rivets
