He also offered me a “what’s this” - I’ve not decided yet. Any idea what it is (Stanley for scale - no coffee cups to hand)

It makes a difference. After years of not struggling but farting around with other types of soap, the first tyre I fitted with that stuff just popped on, and my hands weren't covered in soap.

Got a rechargeable head torch which will be useful in a few months. Seems decent enough might get another to live in the garage.

I had a new Lorch ControlPro MIG delivered last week, and on the same day this grotty old thing was left at my workshop.

I‘ve not yet tried the Lorch but spent two hours cleaning and fixing the old Chinese welder that I have absolutely no use for!!

Glad someone finally took that. That 1/4" set is absolutely fantastic, without a doubt the best socket set I've ever used.
