I will come clean on this.

I had to go to the Head office. This was in the skip next door to our office. Every few months they clear out their stores.

I got some nice stuff yesterday as well.

But instead of posting last night. I went for a beer.

But this is some of what I aquired.

Been used today to line up a beam detector.

Spares, I needed to the large cone for a MIS Restoration.

It was in the skip.

So was this.

This was found as well.

So I treated my "Lil friend" to a cookie.

It was a very good day.

A nice pair of Brass planes.

A pair of Posh Harrods Christmas Crackers fillers, an egg a Little egg. Not a @bigegg and a silver Thimble.

A Usefull laser.

A vintage Range finder.

But I have also added to my Navy.

This lot was not skip finds. But a mixture of nice shops I visit.

Oh, is this a little bit like the "News" item on the radio yesterday where people were moaning because they can't get a refund from an online supplier who has gone bust? I'm not sure where they think their refund money is going to come from. I also can't imagine why they're not on to their credit card company to claim for non-delivered goods. I'm sympathetic when people lose money because a supplier goes under, but there's often a lot of wailing about not getting refunds - if the company had the money to send refunds, they wouldn't have gone bust in the first place.

I wholeheartedly agree especially as I was caught in the middle of it and all I was doing was sticking the labels on the parcels, I wasn't actually "selling" anything. Really upset me the while fiasco I can tell you. Taught me a lesson though.

A Good friend has just left, he also left me two more nice things.

Post WW2 hose nozzle.

The alloy end can be removed and a modern Hose Lock adaptor can be fitted.

Another brass item.

I have already posted about anotrher one of theses.

The other one was a WW1 303 Vickers grease container.

This one is the same. But it is stamped as a WW2.
303 Bren Gun Grease Pot and spoon tool.

Looking at those though, I'm beginning to wonder if those of us who look after our tools are a rare breed. Most folks tools tend to look like they've been dragged through a hedge.

Saw some tools on Ebay, the other week. The description was "used". No sh*t. Stevie himself could've told that.

Same as stored in the butt of a Mk4 Lee Enfield. There was also a black plastic version.

Not is a skip.
But on its way to be cut up.

It was condemned as a repair had be carried out, with out site permission, or traceability.

The far wheel was replaced as the steel type failed.

The bore as already worn.

This is the failed wheel. I don’t think it just happened.

Nice piece of wood .... quite small felling notch ... with a recess for turning to the left during the fall?

What happened to the felling hinge? Have you cleaned it already?
