If you believe all the nonsense it will be halfway knackered if it’s 10 yrs old. It isn’t of course. Mine is maybe 5% down in 12 yrs, maybe less than that, they need a clean.

Use a killer spray type pump up sprayer with lance & an adjustable jet and 1/4 cup of green Fairy liquid in 3 litres of water to spray the panels after giving then a good hosing down ,
Agitate the soapy covering with a long handled soft brush and hose it off when you've done all the panels , then hose it off after another ten min or so . The green Fairy liquid has palm oil in it which helps future dust & crud come off when it rains ... last a good six months too .

Today I acquired an air filter for my plasma airline. This was to replace the one that popped last week. After Vulcan safety services had done an annual inspection on the compressor. And wound the output up to 150psi without saying anything.

Vulcan acquired some new words.

I have told NFU I am refusing to have them back. We will see what happens. It’s them that insist on the inspection annually.

@James1979 , went into, the local Lidl, looking for the trim clips. They never had them , but they did have ,5 , stick / tig welders. £149.99 Almost acquired one, but wife was there , fortunately or unfortunately. Never even tried tig welding or have a need for one.

You always have the need to buy more tools

They had those welders here, as well as the basic arc ones for £50. If I wasn’t tripping over welders I thought about the £50 as a backup. Then I thought “for what??” So I left it.

Trim clips and tools a plenty here if you want some? It’s a box about 10”cubed so post might be a bigger

I also went in Lidl, they had the trim clips, inverter welder, a lathe (presumably for wood) and a load of other stuff like a 2000w angle grinder which only ran at 6000rpm, which seemed low. Came away with a box of mixed nuts, as I'm starting to use metric stuff a bit more now.

That’s the third time I’ve seen those lathes. Mrs79 has been after a wood lathe for a while. All the feedback on turning forums and gaztube suggests that they are satanic contraptions ready to de limb the operator Not a single positive thing about them so I’ve left alone. She is not insured

Those selections they have are good. I always buy them and keep in the truck in case I have damaged fasteners on kit I’m working on

Years ago (Before I got into metalwork and proper lathes ) I had a Sip wood lathe, totally identical to the Aldi ones, it was crap. I wouldn't say it was dangerous but it was awful to use, I don't have a nice thing to say about it, other than I sold it for more than I paid (And I bought it new ).

Wood lathes are rubbish anyway, one you've filled your house with fruit bowls, what do you do with it?

Taking the grandkids, to Aberdeen performance car show, tomorrow, pass another couple of lidls, so will try them . Might take you up , on your offer, if I can't find any
