Offered on Freecycle and couldn't resist , the roller is sound but the handle frame is damaged, any suggestions for repairing it?

Yep the handle will definitely get a nice bit of turned timber, it's still got 3 of the 4 enamelled caps on it.
Any ideas for repairing the frame?

If it was me and not planning to use it. a Dam good re rusting.
Hitting it had after a citric acid dip with a wire brush. Then using the same wire brush hitting it again with a mix of boiled linseed oil and bee's wax.
Or a Good clear coat.
Then enjoy the hard work.

If you can find some, some nice beech or Heart of oak for the handle.

It's gonna get used for sure!
I know the pics don't show the damage but If you look at the neck where the frame narrows above the circular emblem, it has rusted through on one side (RH in the image) just below the swollen lump so I need to repair it, any ideas on that?

Braze in new metal.
Then paint in BRG. The letters in Fire engine red.

Customers reject bin, the case was twisted. So it did not shut correctly.
