Today I acquired a freshly planed road outside the house, not bad considering they were supposed to start a week ago.
Got a new lamp shade off amazon, unique construction as it arrived flat packed, its laser cut ply frame with ash veneers. I quite like it!
Two problems it doesnt let a great amount of light out, will need a higher power bulb. I removed the top row of veneer I think helps. Adds a lot of warmth such that one might want a cold white temp bulb to counter that, with a 2700c bulb its a bit excessive!
From where we sit, we can see the bulb through the gap so I might shorten/extend the cable.
Just ordered a few bars as well thanks, can't go too wrong at 20p each. Inevitably spent more to get free postage, don't think there's such a thing as too many tools? Some bits and bobs from Zoro - mate at work sent me a link to the spanner’s - nooo I don’t need more tools.
The 2 pack wide adjustable spanner’s are £16 a pair, but individually they are £20 odd?
The gorilla bar was also on offer at 98p, and the dinky Swedish pipe wrench is £3 in case you need something to get free postage!

Are they really that good? Will they undo a very tight screw of the 6 types without jumping out?View attachment 374861

£7.38 here, plus postage.....Decent screwdriver, recommended.
I picked this up a while back. Was intrigued as to how they make it fit all 6, 3 sizes of both posidriv and Phillips. It’s not failed me yet, no cam out and fits from sizes 1 to 3 in both patterns. Was 8 quid. Definitely handy to have around.www.mig-welding.co.uk
I had to buy one, as did everyone else, just to find out.
same here and if it lasted a year at work day in day out it would be worth itAre they really that good? Will they undo a very tight screw of the 6 types without jumping out?
Want one, but I am a sceptic.
From Thursday's tool rescue.
I have never held such clamps in my hands before, they are so uncommon in our country.
Until now I only knew them from illustrations in British books on turning and milling or occasionally here in the forum.

Why now an old railroad man in southwest Germany had a selection of them and why those in more special design are paired numbered is beyond me.

The clamps are well made and once I have them sorted into my mental toolbox as available, I look forward to working with them - I am curious.
