Finally turned up today not had a chance to try them yet. And a gasket scraper. I always made my gasket scrapers from broken power hacksaw blades but after 15 years of not having a saw I've run out so had to buy this.

It's very similar to an Emco mentor. The biggest difference is the Emco is only a four speed head. That looks like a six speed.

Thanks very much, I'll PM you.I have one here you can have for the postage costs, left over from the days when I had my own darkroom setup. In the last few years it's only been used when folk would bring me their camera to remove a film cassette.
Iirc, there's also a tool for retrieving the end of a roll of film which has been wound fully back into the 'can' which you can have if it's any use to you (and it will be, too).
Have a Google for Nova deep printing tanks, great for developing prints, and the design saves clearing up after each session.(pricey though....
)
The Nova tank looks cool, but you miss out on the satisfaction of seeing the image form on the paper. Plus, it is a lot of money for essentially a narrow bucket. A DIY version however...
From the other day when I came back with the big polisher from the mother in laws place. There was a bench vise there which was otherwise going to be binned. German made (or branded at least), pre 1984 when they came over from Germany to New Zealand.

Agreed, but space was the consideration in my case.
Plus, with the floating lids you didn't need to clear up after every printing session, for the next one just switch on the built-in heater to bring the chemicals up to temp and you're ready to go. Also, much less mess when tidying up because no decanting from trays into bottles. I was printing up to 16 X 20, so that could be a consideration too.

Thanks chaps. I've done a bit of research this morning and I think what I have is an EMCO FB2 Clone of 1993 vintage. I'm basing that on the lack of any nameplates, some very slightly iffy casting and a couple of slight differences in the mounting at the base and the cable entry. Nonetheless, it seems these clones were actually very highly regarded so I'm well pleased.Emco FB2

From the colour, it looks like Nu-Tool. Often used to see their drill presses. As far as I know, they just rebadged stuff, so it might well be the same as the Emco. Probably from around the turn of the century?
