Very nice find Vark, finding a quality item for next to nothing for just using your eyes and experience,
Few perks of my job.
A van, with tools.
I get to see interesting old buildings.
In those buildings there are places I get to go what can be forgotten to the staff.
Today was a good day for all of the above.

Both earmarked to be removed and skipped as "Non productive to the site"
I asked if I could remove them and have them.
The answer was "Yes, but can you pay the admin fee and the £8 disposal fee today?
Yes, I almost bit their hand of

They look a matched pair, casting numbers are identical and no cracks.
Yes, I am feeling extremely smug.
No, I will not say how much they cost.
@julianthegypsy
Not useless junk, but yes I will be nagged. But they are not taking up space in my workshop, yet.
Some of the Chinglish translations i have seen can be quite amusing.

Any one knows what 3 "Tuts" mean and no coffee when I got home?
Gorgeous. Mrs TYA won't nag if you clean those up and actually sell them. Have a look on "architectural reclamation" sites and see how much they go for! Plus one on the tiles too if you can liberate them without breaking them, they fetch serious amounts of money. Sometimes people frame them and hang them on the wall. To be fair, they do look lovely!Few perks of my job.

^^ If you look closely it may have "Rawlplug" etched or stamped on the side.
Old Ruston? Looks like a nice project.200 kg of cast iron.
Its got to go into the hold of the work boat in the picture, which will be fun times ! There is no engine crane on site. I've got to build a ramp and winch it in.
Here she is, my new to me old record pipe vice and stand.

That's how I found her, fresh from her roof home of 8 years.

Nothing moves on her at all.
I think she will make friends with OA and oil.

Safe at her new home.

@mrfuzzy
No nagging from Mrs TYA. So good news.

Oh yes, my van is normally a lot tidier, but there is a reason.
I will think of one soon.
UPDATE.
The vice is off, soaking in diesel and old oil.
OA and a hammer got it moving, but that's it.
The stand has had the wooden floor removed, it was past it's sell by date.
Next is a wire brush and a coat of paint.
Old Ruston? Looks like a nice project.
My first thought was "Looks Listery" but I didn't want to embarrass myself if I was wrong. My guess was gonna be an HA3 though.Lister JP3 marine.
