Our 3 remaining parents are knocking on a bit and they go through the stage of clearing stuff out, on every visit you end up coming back with a car full of useful stuff... among the vaguely worth saving bottles were these, not sure about the 70% proof rum do we think its drinkable or just for rubbing on sore bits??

Note I don't drink anymore due to Liver function issues....

Do a simple hydraulic test on it first. Disconnect pipework, fill with water, if no obvious leaks connect an air line via a regulator, slowly bring the small air gap in the tank up to working pressure (from afar) and close the tap - leave for a while and if no apparent leaks bring up to 150% of working pressure and leave for a few hours. If no leaks it should be safe to use.

(The idea of the water fill is that any burst will only have a very small volume of compressed air to release before the pressure drops dramatically as the water is not able to be compressed.)
