Some amazons! 7 quid each, digital micrometer head and clone MS180 engines. Might try to make one run, and have some ideas for the other.

Engines appear good quality however I dislike the idea of chromed spark plugs. Thats just asking to peel off and score the cylinder!
Chromed, or nickel, perhaps?I dislike the idea of chromed spark plugs
Ever come near bedford?Wish I could get some that cheap!
It is excessively shiny and sharp, looking like chrome but either way if a plug end rusts then you have bigger problems with the engine. Thin platings are not usually great when exposed to very high temperature cycling..Chromed, or nickel, perhaps?
I reaquired an old lidl trolly jack and pair of old rusty ramps today. Im a bit unsure about ramps as I have never tried to drive up them and its not exactly flat here. Thinking will be useful when I do oil change next week

you might find the old ramps slightly to narrow for modern tyres , dependant on what you drive though , I fancy a pair of those that hydraulicaly lift , but a bit spendyI reaquired an old lidl trolly jack and pair of old rusty ramps today. Very handy. I use the detachable ramps from my flatbed trailer for all kinds of vehicle maintenance stuff, ranging from our garden tractor to our backhoe.I reaquired an old lidl trolly jack and pair of old rusty ramps today. Couple of foot of rope, looped around the lowest rung of the ramp and put under your tyre will stop them sliding away as you start to climb the ramp.
Same here when using my ramps on a hard surface. I have strips of old carpet about 8 inches wide and maybe 3 feet long that I wrap around the first rung and place under the tyre on the ground. My dad used to loop a length of old carpet round the bottom "rung" to stop them skidding away when driving onto them.
brilliant , so obvious but never knew. thanksMy dad used to loop a length of old carpet round the bottom "rung" to stop them skidding away when driving onto them.
