A rather nice little 6" Bahco adjustable spanner, and, it seems, a most interesting crankshaft grinder.
Might even have some rather radical cam profile blanks coming in, so that'll be me making up yet another attachment for one of the grinders....

Serial no 2716 colchester chipmaster i think 1963 machine and a Union pedestal grinder. Grinder is very smooth(and heavy). Both 3phase.

Lathe runs and variator is ok but it wont adjust as the on the control wheel gear doesnt mesh with the gear on the variator. Probably/hopefully simple to sort. Doesnt look like its been heavily used. Just needs dome TLC. Really pleased.

Picked up a vintage timing light recently, nice solid cast body, chromed, no damage to the leads.
Good condition protected by years of garage grease

It’s a shame it doesn’t work. Circuit board is getting 12 volts ok, I have continuity on the HT lead. No obvious signs of damage or heat on the board. What should I check next - and how? Do the bulbs on these die?

Is the white thing in the handle a capacitor? That'd be the first port of call for me. Check that switch for continuity when pressed too.

Yes, white thing looks to be a capacitor, I got a multimeter recently that has a capacitance readout - will see if I can get a reading, if not I'll swap it out.
The switch & related wiring tests ok with multimeter so I suspect the problem is one of the component on the board, or the bulb.
I'll check and report back. Thanks for the suggestions

Came back home, I've found a package in the mail.
A complete gühring HSS G decimal drill set 6-10x0.1
As said in the insertion description almost brand new but I'd rather say practically brand new.
They used only the 6.0, 6.3 and 7.0 mm bits .
All the others are brand new .
The plate on this nice and unscratched yellow case says made in West Germany ...

Case made in W , Germany , drills made in Turkey ????

Today I got those in the mail
3 ABC compasses
3/8" BSP Dormer machine tap in the red box
1/4" BSP Dormer machine tap without a box
1/4" BSP Dormer machine tap in the transparent box
M18x1.5 Dormer machine tap without a box
Insulated terminal crimper instead of the other 3/8" Dormer machine tap because the seller couldn't find it

What words should I use to Search those plastic boxes for storing drills and taps ?
I'd like to get few of those for some taps which have not one

See if anyone local to you will 3D print them for you ???? That would be my line of attack if I wanted some robust cases . Or look on " Thingyverse " type sites to see who is doing them for a small fee.

Today I acquired a 9” two stroke angry grinder and a pack of thin discs,had a quick play with it and like it, not having to use it on max speed is nice.Think I will add a bit more tank protection before pressing it into service.Foam handle grip won’t be long for this world.

It was actually a lot harder to move than the lathe as its a bit top heavy and the trailer deck is a bit slippy. Its got really nice cast aluminium side vents, a bit of a work of art really.

Never seen one before what's it like weight wise compared to a con saw

Not much in it, first impressions are good. Will be making a few mods, that foam grip is already knackered and the wheel stop detent is very sloppy, going to deal with that and check there is grease in the head before I use it in anger. Other than that it is so nice having control over the rpms, you dont always want or need flat out.
