Wonderful thing for stews & such like, my wife has had one ever since we got married (over 50 years ago) & uses it a lot. Old fashioned low tech, but works ever so well.

We have an aluminium one, now in the loft, replaced with a stainless one when the scare about aluminium utensils was about. Ought to get rid of it really, got a loft full of stuff like that.

Only a small six inch capacity, but pretty inexpensive. I suspect if is an older Sealey unit from the design of it. Seems pretty well made, I don't think its seen much use.
I think it has been stood for a while on a damp floor judging by the rust, but it still cuts a sheet of paper cleanly at any point along the blade so I think it will scrub up with some WD40 and scotchbright.

I've got one of those.
These arrived today. An imperial set of R8 collets for my Bridgeport. A silly low price of £26.99 from Ebay. I think the price has risen since to £32. They look alright on quick inspection. Will try them out over the weekend. Stated run out is 0.0012" TIR. There's no precision engineering going on my garage, so if they meet that spec I expect they will do fine.

Little follow up on the Ebay collets.
Quick test this morning before breakfast. They appear to be honestly described. Bridgeport in low gear. One and a little bit thou run out on the indicator. I'm presuming it's all in the collet, but I'm using a cheap Chinese endmill and the Bridgeport is not minty fresh. Just tested the one, so the sample size doesn't really pass muster.

The largest bottle of MIG gas I've ever owned! A large BOC Argosheild cylinder New unused full 220 bar charge when checked, new reg and bottle key for £100 from fb marketplace locally
This will get strapped to the wall in my main garage and will provide me about 10 years worth of Mig gas! I may pipe a couple of drops in my garage and hoses from it at some point in future.

I'd say this will do me for literally 10+ years! And there are people in NI who charge any Gas cylinder for you. So will be able to get it filled somewhere or it can be sold on it sure was cheap enough that even if I get to use the gas it's a good deal
Final word on these collets. The 5/16"collet run out was three quarters of one thou, as best as I could eyeball it. A cynic might suggest some errors are cancelling each other out but I'm happy with the result for the price I've paid.
