2 big steels for the back of the house, and 2 small steels for the side, not looking forward to fitting the big ones at 6.6m and 51 kg/m each, took 8 of us to get them off the truck

Ah yes, I remember that post now. I was wondering what the O rings in the brackets were for.The mounting brackets are actually part of their coupling system.
They basically join various excelon accessories together as well as providing mounting locations.
If you want to use the threaded ports you need to swap to a different mounting bracket, either their hook type carrier or neck mount bracket.
And once you have looked up the price, you’ll probably do this instead:
74 series will be a bigger nut though I think, so sourcing something suitable might be a challenge.

A very fine bottle of 'Fine Calvados', from Normandie.
It is truly excellent, thank you Graham, you absolute star.View attachment 455516

They are solid, they are not on the standard list, the steel man had to get them from Tata , I could of had a lighter section but the height and width would cause problems upstairs and they would stick out the ceiling to much, the good thing is they are available on a 14 meter length so got both of them out of one length.Where TF are they going? Engineers safety factor of x10 was applied there!
Curious if this is a stability item on top of the wall in the photo with the openings? Or are they for something else not in the scope of the photo?
Sounds interesting to meI thought of doing a thread about it all but don’t know if people would be interested?
