nice! is there any going spare I would like a square chopping block, my round is falling apart after 8 years
Assuming you don't have a TCT chain you must really love sharpening! It's some kind of very dense hardwood either greenheart or balau. I know it took some cutting

Use a small three or four litre Killer-spray bottle & lance , remove the spray nozzle by carefully cutting it off , gently curve the end to get in the filler hole .. beauty of this is you can see the oil level at the start and judge when it filled the machine as required .I mean i'm not the sort... But it would make short work of even a pretty big tank now I think of it!
This may actually work against me for using it to pump gearbox and diff oil, as it will only take a few seconds between fully priming itself and filling the box...
There is a plastic one using normal hose pipes that fits on a brushless battery drill , IIRC they can be safely used with petrol ...but check .I wish they did one that would pump petrol
Bammy Jastard !There's a box of bits with it. it was a bit dark to look tonight but i'll have a ferret through at weekend
Usually these missing phalanges &thumbs are down to very high speed three phase machine incidents . It often used to happen in a noisy environment where the phase of the lighting is on the same phase as the machine , so it looks as thought the cutter is not moving . Also push sticks & push pads weren't used .They're also very good at removing fingers and flesh, so be careful.
If I'm talking to a joiner and I notice a butchered hand I will sometimes enquire and its nearly always a spindle moulder that caused the injury!
If you have some more of this exotic hard wood and are willing , would you send me a chunk 4 inches wide that is cut across the grain .. I'd like to try and make a few decent pens with it ( happy to reimburse you for it ) , PM me of OK and we can sort things out .Today I acquired - a chopping block for cutting logs for my log burner, ans also a memento from the job Ive been doing for the past 3 months.
This is a timber fender from a lighthouse we've removed from the sea bed which was built in 1970. I cut 2 chunks out of it with my £15 bargain chainsaw that I got a couple of weeks back. It's some kind of very dense hardwood either greenheart or balau. I know it took some cutting

When I got my van I created a document on my laptop to record the service history. There was a moment of panic when my hard drive died but luckily I found a backup copy on a thumb drive.Well I "designed" my own service book for my Volvo. When I bought it I lacked all service history, which is why I didn't drive it after I got it home for over a week.
Changed the timing belt, serpentine belt, vacuum hoses, repaired air box flapper, renovated the pcv system, flushed the coolant and replaced it and finally oil and filter got changed. Been steadily fixing small issues one after another, stuff that happens on an old car. Everything is pretty easily fixable though, which is the pro of an old car...
Still don't have anywhere to write all this down. So I designed and had my service book printed. Vistaprint is pretty nifty and cheap too.
Also some pens because why not.
