What I'd really like to acquire is some time off. Been flat out for 7 weeks. BTW. Acquired a thicknesser the other day if you want to run some timber through for your worktop mate.

It's just occurred to me you'll probably know what this is;

Googling West 6100 says it's a single loop controller but what that means I don't know.


Okay so I acquired it about 7 years ago but it still counts.

Yesterday I got a 20mm solid copper earth rod, don't need anything earthed but you don't turn down free lathe stock, especially fancy materials.
I may see if I can forge a chunk of it into a vice jaw, does that sound possible?

as said Maker, its a temperature controller we use them on hot glue tanks on our wood coating machines.

I've annealed copper sheet a few times to make roses but nothing any thicker, do I need to keep it at a read heat for a while to heat through or is it safe to assume, with it's high thermal conductivity, if the surface is hot the centre is too?

I've only done washers myself, but as long as it doesn't melt I don't think you'll overheat it.

Today I was looking for my Safebloc to test a motor and found this Swiss file set made by stubs, never been used either.
