^^^^^^ its for my son as said before on the fourm i did bikes up when young hes been watching me fix their bike for a few years and i started saying you know how to do a punture get on with it few years later hes doing what i done when young to get pocket money

and frame is good condition i think the wheels are as well it is missing a few bits but prob got them in stock from bikes hes scraped that where not worth fixing we got near 3 tubs of bits all gear and brake cables need replacing that will cost £7 but if sorted will be one of the better bikes hes had prob sell for £50 so a £30 profit for him not bad for a young one should seam like packet to him

will say hes tight as a ducks *** when he spoted it he sent me to go and get it as i know the people and said to me im a bit miffed as i just got a diamond back bike a few months ago that i paid money for if i had waited i could of had that instead

my responce was you paid 75 for 2 bikes (he dont normaly pay much for bikes £5/10 normal or idealy free if people just want them out there way as they cant fix them and bought new ones so happy to have the space one was a gt in good condition that just needed a few jorbs sorting brake ajustment gears ajusted so they change gear as should and head set tighten looked on ebay they go for £80 to £100 so hes best mate wanted a bike as he had his nicked a half year ago he said hed pay £80 for it i said no do him a faver and let him have it for £50 when the dad and him come round he give him £60 in his hand my son said to much the reply was the bikes very good looke nice and runs very well its worth £90/100 easy so £60 is cheap so he had his diamond back for £15 was prob £400 new but had parts missing scrached frame but nicec parts on it we used his old bike that we had built up from spare parts and got it up and running and spent the last few months when he got better stuff from other bikes putting on it it does look very good only needs a respray i said we can do that but once the house if finshed not before as i not got the time

but he worried about £15 he said no it was £20 as i had to buy new headset bearings i said you cant count maintenance stuff tyres brake pads and bearings are stuff you have to change cant add that to the cost of the bike

Actually bought about 6 weeks ago and, thanks to @spencer 427, it reached my mate in Colchester last week who delivered it today.

The jaws have been replaced by the looks of things but, other than a few minor marks it's in very good nick.

dont think will be going the that extent

might be a bit more than a rattle can job looking at the lidl spray guns i got a spray gun already but its a big one for doing cars and such think it will waste more paint than get on a bike

I aquired a nice expensive piece of 10tonne hose today with a coupling at one end and a screw thread at the other, It was the only part missing from a "Blackhawk" kit I was gifted by a local group that was going to end up in a recycling box if I didnt have it.

Basicly its a 10tonne (or is it a ton? not sure ill have a look) Portapower unit like body workers use, but with a few special tools, one for opening door frames up, and one for cutting A-beams (a manual jaws of life). I would post a photo of mine but its in the shed and its raining so i have linked one from the internet!

I just need to source a doobree for the pressure dial (I have 2 dials but no way of attaching them to the kit)

I have bean donated 6 gates and some other gate related stuff.
Was spotted at a old house being renovated, the sparky on the site gave me a call as they are no good to the plans on the house.
So a quick trip donating choccy hob nobs and all butter shortbread and theses are no getting used to their new home.

Already started on them, immediately scraped, brushed and sanded back to bare metal, primed and hammered silver goes on. Got to sort out the drawers next, but I have a plan for fixing the loose, riveted on handles.

I will line the drawers with felt, somewhere to store all those collets I got the other day.

Not felt as that will trap moisture. Get some cheep anti slip matting.

Oh interesting I've seen machinist cases lined with felt so assumed it was the go-to.

I'd personally go with the felt if you don't have moisture/condensation issues. It's the more traditional option.

I use the 6mm closed cell insulation board you use underneath electric under floor heating, works very well in drawers and about 2 quid a sheet or nowt if you have some left over from UFH

IKEA do a nice non slip draw lining that can be cut to fit, cheap too

Nah Parm's stuff is posher! Think we used to have some about 15 years ago when my parents IKEA bombed the entire house with furniture, much of which we still have.

Yep, that's the same sort of thing, don't know what it costs now as it was a while ago

Those camping mats are quite good too, but I suspect they may be expensive when compared to the other options. Brewdexta's suggestion is also good

To line my tool drawers in my sickets and spanner cabinet i used some huega thin carpet tiles left over from a job, they wipe clean and are heavy enough not to slide about,I also have some non chromed tools in a drawer so i gave the tile a light coating of WD40.

Everything I own gets a wipe down with oil every once in a while. Those carpet tiles are very good things, I always look for them in skips

Update:

Been sorting through the collets. I have almost a complete set of 3AM, then six or so each of 2H and 1AM. Think I will flog these as I don't have the sleeve bit. The dead centre is also 4MT, didn't realise until I got home and it didn't work. Something else to sell. With any luck I can make my money back. I'll make a little rack for the 3AMs out of wood.

Nice haul anyway. If those 2H collets were 2J I might have bought them. I'm looking out for a metric set of 2J collets.
