You have a record pipe stand, I have a Record Pipe vice to fit.

On your pipe stand you have a vice.

thanks for the offer,what would the value of stand and pipe vice be? to me its usefull with a vice on but bills dont stop coming in for some reason ! so depends on market value really...

Swindens, re value, well they are extortinate new and if you have used one you soon realise a second hand one isnt expensive at a realistic price, how do you price a tool that will out last your life time,you can use every day and hardly think about maintaining it ....yet spend a grand on a electronic mig that will be out of date six months after you bought it, will hopefully last maybes 12/15 years but in truth will most likely be replaced before then...its all about perspective really

Very true, I live by this logic and prioritise buying iron and steel over power tools - old stuff might not be around so abundantly in ten years time, but a makita power drill will.

I must point out not off of it is mine, about 20% is what I donated to the training place.

I am glad that some of the stuff I saved from the scrap man or land fill now have anew life.

Wrenches came today, not a bad $3.01 spent! The 14" is Record, the 18" is Ahrems. Quick oil had the working smoothly, I later drilled a hole in the Record handle and hung it up.

Actually saved me 49c! If you bid online on trademe, it jumps in 50c increments. If you cut them off with a 51c bid however, you can sometimes jump in front of the autobid without having to go to the next 50c mark.

I did indeed, held it in place with a Record 412 and used my Fobco Star to bore it out. I suppose you won't like the fact that I'm thinking of painting my two Record wood vices red once they're refurbished...
