I acquired a new bike:

January sale on CRC, saved about £300 including some other parts.

Should be a bit more capable than my road bike for playing in the Peaks.

Wanted one for over 20 years, since I watched norm use one on nyw.

Never been able to justify the £800 for a new one, but got a bargain on the bay - gotta love bad descriptions, collection only, low start auctions that finish Sunday morning in January.

I bought one a while ago to make the kitchen drawers, at least that was my excuse. I got it off another forum with some extras thrown in, I haven't had chance to play with it properly yet, but I have to make a drawer so it will happen soon.

My first project is going to be a big tool chest (Costco stylee after the other thread) from 5/8" ply (which I still have half a garage full of - and I/m not exaggerating- the back 10ft is full- to the ceiling)

Then I have a couple of "craft drawers", a Welsh dresser with drawers and acouple of kitchen pan drawer units.

Then gf is moving into a new place, so a new kitchen and 3 bedrooms to furnish.

And then I might sell it - and double my money

I'm building a pantorouter myself, multipurpose tool, very interesting joinery applications there. Though I am currently working on hand cut dovetails so the pantorouter build kinda ebbed out, need to get back to it. There's a metal version but it's 1k+

is this a "mattias" one? bought the plans, but not had time to get into it yet. I want to make it out of metal, the principal and drawing is excellent, but wasn't convinced for the wood and will convert to metal. one day..

Yeah it's one of his, I also made the tilting router lift earlier though I will have to rebuild it to fit my new router.

Today I collected a Herbert junior surface grinder that I bought.
Cleaned the surface rust off the table and filled the oil reservoir and it seems ready to go.
Not bad for £70, now I just need to downsize my mag chuck.

Narrowly missed out on a int40 Rambuadi miller for £400, oh well maybe next time.

Today I collected a Herbert junior surface grinder that I bought.
Cleaned the surface rust off the table and filled the oil reservoir and it seems ready to go.
Not bad for £70, now I just need to downsize my mag chuck.

Narrowly missed out on a int40 Rambuadi miller for £400, oh well maybe next time.

It’s the later model yes. The entire knee is an oil bath.

Found in a box after people had gone through it and taken all the bits they wanted, This was heading for the tip..A bull tin opener no makers details but maybe something to do with bully beef
*edit. Just found time to google it and seems it is from bully beef and over 100 years old built to last.

Can't remember who it was on here now, but thank you for recommending Compressorman, http://www.compressorman.co.uk. Been following him on Twitter for yonks, got in touch with him recently and he did me a cracking deal on this. Can't believe how much quieter screw compressors are!

Just need to sort out a decent sized blast cabinet now
