Makes a change, getting a bargain from TP. Their prices usually make my **** clench, on the rare occasions I've had to use them.
They have the "list" price, and the actual price they can sell it to you for, unless you ask for the discounted price you don't get it. I'm guessing the ridiculously high priced tools and fixings in the shop are only there to rip off business account customers who are not interested in the price.
All in all they plainly don't want DIY or small order customers, and are only interested in trade accounts.

I recently got an account from them as I moved to a "to house of horrors" only a mile from a Travis Perkins yard.
I always thought they were very highly priced so avoided in the past but so far I've been quite pleasantly surprised by the prices!...
£12.80 including vat for a 7×2" 12' C24 joist if i buy 15 or more. About £9 for 3 bags of sand, cement and 20mm concrete mix on a Saturday morning to fill a hole can't be bad either

She's using it to keep the weeds down between the 1400 trees and bushes she's just planted until they get big enough to allow grazing. We're getting some geese too.

Keep an eye out for an Allen power-scythe, they're lovely little machines, something a bit out of the ordinary.

My dad used to do a decent trade in them.
Bought them up locally, reconditioned them (mostly, but not exclusively, why I hate Villiers mags), then advertised them in one of the Highland newspapers for the crofters to make hay with...
Donkeys years ago mum "volunteered" dad and me to clear the manse garden at the local church (can't think why, she's fully as big a heathen as I am
). Previous minister had been a lazy beggar and let it go to wilderness.We decided an Allen Scythe was the way to go.
Apparently the new minister said "watch out for the rose bushes" to dad as said scythe was dragging me down the garden, felling everything in our path.
I suspect dads response of "Don't worry, that thing'll cut anything!"* is the reason we never got "asked" to do any other similar jobs...
* Delivered with a more-than-slightly demonic grin
Seriously though, count the children carefully before and after using an Allen Scythe. Those dog clutches are brutal!

The missus likes the peace and quiet of the scythe and she's into permaculture, plus it's very steep around here so I can't see it happening but I would have one to play with. I did have a small alpine tractor with fat tyres and a low centre of gravity but I still cringed when in the field

My last car boot sale for a while. Boy, was it wet and miserable. But I did find a few things.
Not seen one like that before.
A Garden sprayer, it needs some attention as it will pump, but it leaks.
Finally, in the original packaging.
All complete and fully working, Shame the box was wrapped in cling film.

Annoys the hell out of me when they do that. I bought a box of early 20c slate pencils - original box, Binnie & Smith (who also made the first Crayola), taped shut with sticky tape and a self adhesive price tag double wrapped with an X of tape. It took very careful work with a heat gun to get it off. Complete idiots at the charity shop.
