When I was a kid we used to go to the beach at South Shields in the back of my uncle Bill's Morris 1000 van. He was a top bloke and in later life I did him wrong and will regret it to the day I die. Anyway he had that exact stove and in the car park at Shields we used to boil a kettle as my mam and aunty went for fish and chips at the chippy. Just seeing it brought a tear to my eye. Your friend is an idiot if you don't mind me saying so.

Well I had/have no need at present for it.
So I choose to give it to a friend who likes to take his family/himself on camping holidays. Now being long term unemployed I thought he would appreciate it as a gift. As funds can be a bit short at times.

How wrong I was.

His comment was: "why would I want some second hand tack, I mean I thought I was your friend. You could of at least got some gas cylinders or spent more on the gift for me."

So he was politely asked to go away, as far as I am now concerned he can go shove his head up a dead's bears anus.

Today I acquired a new job.

As some may recall back in December I left my last place and was due to start a new job in the new year. It did not happen.
The week before I was due to start the company was not available, office closed, phones going straight to answer phone. E mails returned, nothing.

No chance of returning to my old place. The manager who was the problem there brunt the bridges.

So left in the lurch.

Saw a job, on line. Called their office, met up with them on Wednesday, was offered on the same day. Accepted Thursday.

Start Monday.

I took legal advice on the failed job, I have no chance doing anything inside the law. But The Fire industry is a close knit place.

Sad as well, I am forced to take legal action ageist my last place, due to the threats in he last few e mails. But as I claimed universal credit, it is free to me. Good news.

People always talk about not burning bridges, I like to think the light from the burning bridges illuminates the path to the next place...

Brand new Dewalt 110V corded SDS drill for £60 inc VAT from Travis Perkins...£160ish new elsewhere - he said 'oh that's cheap' and sold it to me.

Couldnt get my card in the machine quick enough!

Only one for home so didn't want to spend too much, TP is much closer than Screwfix which was going to be my second call!

i aways phone them first and cheak stock and say whats the price on that please when your on the phone they tend to give you the proper price not the inflated price
